Liquid Customer Care has received numerous responses from our customers and field service regarding a common issue that is happening to our analyzers involving outdoor installations. Models effected are 1056/ 1066/ 1057/ 56 & 6081, and thought we should share this information.
Our analyzers are shipped with a clear protective covering on the display faceplate. When the analyzer faceplate is in contact with UV radiation from the sun, within days or weeks, the protective covering adhesive adheres to the product display and begins to breakdown and bond to the display screen. By this time it’s too late, you will not be able to peel off or remove the damaged protective covering. This is problematic in warm sunny climates and outdoor installations. If you try to takes off the protective covering, it will defaces the display screen and make the display unreadable in many cases.
In summary, we would like to advise you, our customers, to remove this protective covering immediately once the analyzer is installed at your site.
